World Book Day Celebrations -
On Tuesday 28th February, local illustrator Maggie Kneen will be talking to a group from Daven Primary School about her books and giving a few short readings from some of her favourite stories.
Maggie will also be holding an open mic session at 2.30pm, where she will be talking about her experiences of authorship and illustrating, and taking questions from the audience. Tickets cost £2.00 from the library. All are welcome and refreshments will be provided. You can find out more about Maggie
on her website.
On Thursday 1st March at 7.00-9.00pm, we will be holding a readers and writers forum. Local authors including Nik Perring, Elizabeth Lister, Daniel Wood and Rod Hughes will be discussing

their experiences of reading and writing. Tickets cost £2.00 from the library.
On Monday 5th March at 7.00pm, self-published author Stephen Smith will present an illustrated talk largely based on his fundraising charity walk to Machu Picchu. In 2009 Stephen completed a four day trek raising money for a guide dog charity and he documented the whole amazing trip through the lens of his camera. Stephen has also had his book, The Inca Trail: to Machu Picchu, published electronically and will be sharing his experiences of this on the evening. Tickets cost £2.00 from the library.

On Saturday 3rd March it's Make a House craft day. Come along and help us create a house for our library display wall at 10.30-11.30am. Imagine your house, make your house and write its story. Tickets cost £2.00 or £5.00 for a family ticket.
