Introducing Love Local Life

In May 2009 a group of local independent businesses in Macclesfield joined forces with one mission in mind – to encourage and engage the local community and to get them shopping locally. The result? Love Local Life was born, a loyalty scheme with a card that rewards shoppers with discounts and benefits for loving local life.

Love Local Life creates a platform for local businesses to promote themselves to their local community. Now working with Cheshire East Council, Love Local Life will be rewarding shoppers across all towns in Cheshire East.

A loyalty scheme with a difference

The difference and beauty of the Love Local Life scheme is that it encompasses a huge range of businesses and services offering cardholders a choice of benefits, on their doorstep, whatever their lifestyle need at any one specific time.

Whether it’s financial advice or eating out, keeping fit or taking a holiday, a Love Local Life card represents a consistent value and opportunity in the community. Plus, the Love Local Life card can also be carried on a smartphone with our free App!

The complete communications package for your business

When you join Love Local Life your business will benefit by being part of strong and successful socially responsible brand. A scheme that has the support of the Local Council which has helped to fund a communications strategy, that is designed to keep our community engaged and aware of what their local trade and industry has to offer. By joining the Love Local Life scheme, your business will benefit from:

The Love Local Life website promotes your business with a listing. The listing includes photographs, an introduction to your business and service, contact details, web link and of course that all important Love Local Life benefit. You can also add hot offers at any time.

2. Love Local Life App

Businesses are also promoted via the free Love Local Life App which links with the main website. Offers, information, news and events can be sent to cardholders throughout the year.

3. Monthly e-newsletter

Each month all Partners are invited to send in any additional offers and benefits for cardholders to be included in our monthly email newsletter. This is a great platform to get seasonal and tactical promotions out to all our cardholders and general supporters – which of course includes other Partners.

4. Media campaign

All Partners will benefit from being part of the generic Love Local Life brand. All media messages promote the Dine Local, Shop Local, Love Local brand to engage and encourage the purchase of cards using the website as a call to action. Love Local Life secures preferential additional advertising rates for all Partners who wish to do additional advertising.

Every quarter, Partners are updated on the past and future press campaigns that have previously included radio and local media.

5. Point of sale

Point of sale collateral will be provided to show your customers that you are part of the Love Local Life scheme. You are invited to utilise the brand for in-store promotions and web links.

6. Card sales

Love Local Life cards cost just £5. All partners have the opportunity to become a card reseller. Offering businesses the opportunity to adopt this as their own loyalty scheme and to use the cards as an additional way of generating revenue as a £2.50 from every card sale goes to the reseller. All surplus generated is reinvested in the media campaign.
